Acting Classes
For students aged 8 - 18.
Colebrooke Productions are recognised as the only school in the local area currently offering OFQUAL examinations for pupils in Acting, Speech & Drama and Musical Theatre. Affiliated to both New Era Academy of Speech and Drama, London.
We can take students from the preliminary grades right through to teaching qualifications in all subjects of the arts. We provide expert tuition in character acting and vocal technique as well as script work and improvisation.
Aswell as exams, we also encourage our performers to take part within the acting slots of our yearly showcase. We have performed successful sketches including, comedy, rhyme & improvised.
musical theatre Classes
For students aged 8 - 18.
Musical Theatre is deeply rooted in the acting discipline, requiring clear thought and storytelling within the presented songs, putting the ‘theatre’ in Musical Theatre. Encompassing natural and appropriate delivery styles, and personal interpretation.
As the grades progress, and the necessary technique becomes more challenging, Learners will be expected to tackle a variety of musical styles and genres to give them a broad spectrum of knowledge and abilities. The theory for these grades includes not only vocal technique but also the progression of acting styles required to perform the set composers/lyricists; contrasting modern vocal performance styles with traditional musical theatre performance.
These classes are fantastic for developing abilities in vocal techniques, self confidence, characterisation, imagination and creativity & physicality.
